I never dreamed I’d ever make my own hummus then one day I just thought I’d give it a go & it’s so easy! What I love about this recipe is you can get creative, adding your own favourite ingredients when you fancy a change. It makes a delicious snack, served with breads and crudites
Drain the chickpeas (saving some of the juice) & put into a food processor, add all of the ingredients & blend until smooth. Taste & add more of the ingredients to suit your desired taste. If you would like a smoother consistency add a little more of the drained juice.
NOTES
Serve with dry toasted triangles as shown or delicious with breadsticks, crackers, seeded flatbreads & of course raw carrot, celery & cucumber sticks
You can experiment with paprika, roasted garlic, pine kernels & many, many more ingredients to create your very own variety … have a go or if prefer, try a shop purchased pot & mix with one teaspoon of marinade & the juice of half a lemon
