Karen's Amazing Beef Burger

I used to think that making your own burgers was quite difficult, I couldn’t have been more wrong … even my son Jackson makes them now! These are straightforward & once you’ve tried them, you’ll probably never buy ready-made ones again. If you prefer them a bit spicier, just add a little more marinade the next time you make them. These mouthwatering burgers are perfect for your summer barbecue.

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Method

Place the onion into a microwavable bowl along with the butter & cook for two minutes on high power. Add the minced beef to the onions now add the egg & the marinade & mix together. Arrange into four large or six smaller patties.

Heat a little oil in the frying pan on medium then cook each side for 5 to 7 minutes depending on how many you have made (check the middle to ensure fully cooked). Serve on a soft brioche bun

NOTES

These burgers are amazing with Karen’s Spicy Dip, also try with melted cheese. To do this quickly place 4 tablespoons of a good quality mature grated cheddar into a small microwavable dish & heat for 30 seconds, check & if it needs more heat, microwave at 10 second intervals

To do this quickly place 4 tablespoons of a good quality mature grated cheddar into a small microwavable dish & heat for 30 seconds, check & if the cheese hasn’t melted enough, microwave for 10 second intervals or place a mature cheddar square cheese slice on top of the burger & place under the grill
