Karen's Slow Cooked Lamb Leg
Believe it or not I have friends who make this recipe just for the amazing gravy it makes! This slow cooked tender lamb is elevated to another level with the marinade & definitely a crowd pleaser
Cooking Time: 3.5 hours
Ingredients
- 1 whole leg of lamb
- 1 rounded tablespoon of marinade
Method
Bring your lamb leg to room temperature & pat dry if necessary then coat all of the surface with the marinade, garnish with fresh or dried parsley if required & cover loosely with foil.
Cook in a pre-heated oven 140° for 3 hours then remove the foil & increase the heat to 200° for 20 to 30 minutes.
Rest for at least half an hour
NOTES
The residue makes the most amazing gravy! Add any vegetable water & your usual thickener
